(We have a big job ahead…)
If you have traveled in the western part of North Carolina, more than likely you have visited Chimney Rock. It has been a tourist stop since a simple stairway was built to the top of the rock in 1885, but now, stairs and an elevator transport visitors to the summit where an American Flag stands at the overlook. From the top, you get a wonderful view of Lake Lure, the city of Chimney Rock, and the 1927 Lake Lure Inn and Spa where the movie “Dirty Dancing” was filmed. However, the main takeaway from the viewing is always the beautiful rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

I’m proud to be a North Carolinian, I’m proud to have the freedoms the flag represents, I’m proud to live in a nation where we still have opportunities, and I’m proud to be a Christian, but with this title comes a responsibility.
“if my people, who are called by my name… will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14)
Our land and it’s people need healing, whether they are living in the beautiful, rolling mountains of NC or the urban areas of the largest cities. We as believers have been given a big job and that is to pray and seek God’s guidance. Wow!
