West Virginia is a beautiful state and Elkins WV is at the top of the list.
This lovely small mountain town rich with history, world class rock climbing at Seneca Rocks and historic buildings located on the campus of Davis & Elkins College. So enough of the tourism sales pitch, but take my word for it, you should check it out.
I’m fortunate that we have family that lives in Elkins an on this special day we had the opportunity to see my niece get married on top of Kelly Mountain. The view was magnificent with a 360-degree view of the WV mountain range and city below. I once heard someone say that the way they rested their eyes was to drive through the mountains.
Special times, marked by beautiful places, will always put a smile on our face. What place has imprinted your mind? God has created beauty all around us. Let us not get too busy to slow down and take in the beauty.

Fun Note: Years ago, while visiting an antique store in Elkins we bought (in an unplanned and weak moment) a king size four poster bed, strapped it on top of our car, and made the 350-mile trip home. My reasoning was “It was a great price”.
